Benji Madden and Cameron Diaz, married for nearly nine years, have welcomed their second child. The couple, who have kept their daughter out of the spotlight, announced the birth of their new baby, Cardinal Madden, on Instagram.
The announcement featured an artwork with the message, “A little bird whispered to me.” Cardinal Madden wrote, “We are blessed and excited to announce the birth of our son. He is amazing, and we are all really glad he is here.” The couple emphasized their intent to protect their children’s privacy, stating, “We won’t be posting any pictures for the kids’ safety, but he’s really cute.”
The couple’s announcement mirrored their previous one for their daughter, Raddix Madden, where Cameron Diaz said, “We are so happy, blessed, and grateful to begin this new decade by announcing the birth of our daughter, Raddix Madden. She won our hearts right away and completed our family.”
However, not everyone was thrilled. One Instagram user commented, “Who the heck wants to become a parent at 51 years old?” Another added, “She is so elderly; I hope they get a surrogate.”
