“In 1983, a 16-pound baby amazed everyone – you won’t believe how he looks today!”

In 1983, Patricia Clarke gave birth to Kevin Robert Clark, a baby tipping the scales at over 16 pounds, making him the largest newborn at Community Memorial Hospital—and possibly in all of New Jersey. Despite his remarkable size, Kevin was healthy and quickly became a local celebrity, even appearing on “Saturday Night Live” and “Good Morning America.”

As he grew, Kevin’s height continued to draw attention. By age 12, he was 5’7″, and by junior high, he had reached 6’5″. With a sense of humor about his height, he joked, “I like to say I’m 5-foot-21. When people ask if I play basketball, I ask if they play miniature golf.”

Now 40 years old and standing at 6’9″, Kevin is used to the frequent questions about his height. “Not a day goes by without someone asking me how tall I am,” he shared. A former soldier, he lives with his 6-foot-tall wife and their Great Dane, embracing life with his unique perspective and long stride.
