Heather Tom, best known for her role as Katie Logan on The Bold and the Beautiful, recently shared the heartbreaking news of her mother Marie’s passing. In an emotional Instagram post, Heather expressed her deep grief, sharing photos, a video, and a touching letter in tribute to her mother.
“My brother David, sister Nicholle, and my son Michael were by my mother’s side, holding her hand, kissing her face, and whispering ‘I love you’ as she peacefully passed away,” Heather wrote. She described her mother as her “most significant influence” and “biggest supporter.”
Marie, who was a single mother, played a pivotal role in Heather’s life, including helping her move her family to Los Angeles. Heather fondly recalled her mother’s love for Mexican food, margaritas, Elvis Presley, and toy poodles.
“I will miss her every day,” Heather added, “but because my son’s eyes are hers, I will always see her when I look into them.”
Heather, who married musician James Achor in 2011, is also a proud mother to their son, Zane Alexander Achor, born in 2012. Reflecting on motherhood in 2020, Heather said, “I’m so proud to be your mom—you’re the best thing that’s ever happened to me.”
